Iced Green Peace

Iced Green Peace takes your average expectations about what an iced tea should taste like and gives it the most delightful twist you could imagine. Not only does the green tea result in a smoother tea flavor, but the peppermint and spearmint lend a sparkle and airiness to it that is utterly refreshing.

This recipe makes a half gallon of iced Green Peace. If you're using the smaller bag (the tan one), use the whole bag! And since green tea is a little more delicate than black, make sure you let your water cool a bit before you add the tea. Too hot of water can result in a bitter flavor. We usually shoot for about 185° F, which is usually about 2 min. off the heat after it’s come to a boil.

Also, this recipe is designed for being served right away. If you're planning ahead, you can skip the ice and just top off the brewed tea with enough water to make a 1/2 gallon and then stick it in the fridge for later.
