Nepalese Green
Nepalese Green
Honeydew • Cashew • Lime
Ingredients: organic full leaf green tea from Guranse Estate, Nepal
Hailing from the same estate in Dhankuta, Nepal as our Himalayan Black, this fresh, steamed green tea is surprisingly full and fruity. Steeping a bright golden cup, it yields a delightful astringency reminiscent of a mellow IPA with a natural sweetness perfect for iced tea. Enjoy by itself or with food, and you simply must try it iced!
Note: Be gentle with this one. If steeped too hot or too long, this tea gets bitter. Let boiled water sit for a couple minutes before pouring.
This tea is fantastic iced! Enjoy adding fresh fruit & herbs. Some of our favorites: basil/ginger, lime, strawberries, watermelon, mint, cucumber, black and blueberries.
Iced Tea Directions: You can prepare it either by hot steeping or cold brewing (our favorite), but either is great.
Hot Steep:
-16 oz Single cup: 1 Tbsp dry tea. Steep for 3 min in 6 oz of 165 degree water. Pour over ice.
-½ Gallon: 1/3 cups dry tea (0.87 oz/ 25 gr), 3 cups 165 degree water. Steep covered for 4 min. Strain and bring up to ½ gal. with water and ice.
½ gal. Cold Brew: Stir ¼ cup dry tea (0.75 oz/21 gr) into 1/2 gal. cool water. Cover and leave in fridge 6-8 hours. When ready, pour through a strainer and top water off to bring back to ½ gallon.
