What's Up, Doc?
A super healthy energy drink that’d make Bugs Bunny proud! Carrot juice, energizing yerba mate, fresh ginger, and lime juice combine to make a delicious and refreshing beverage that is simple to make. Keep it in the fridge for whenever you need a cup.
(Recipe makes about 3 quarts.)
¼ cup Chad’s Mate Chai (loose-leaf)
40 oz Carrot Juice
3 oz Lime Juice
2 oz Fresh Ginger (about 3 “golf balls,” sliced)
½ cup Sugar
Lime (to garnish)
Bring 4 cups water to a boil.
Add the yerba mate and ginger and steep covered for 8 min.
Strain and stir in the sugar.
Bring to ½ gallon with ice water.
Add carrot and lime juice.
Serve over ice.
