What's Up, Doc?
A super healthy energy drink that’d make Bugs Bunny proud! Carrot juice, energizing yerba mate, fresh ginger, and lime juice combine to make a delicious and refreshing beverage that is simple to make. Keep it in the fridge for whenever you need a cup.
(Recipe makes about 3 quarts.)
Ingredients
- shy 1/2 cup (1.1 oz) loose-leaf Misty Mountain Chai 
- 38 oz Carrot Juice 
- 2.3 oz Lime Juice 
- 1.85 oz Fresh Ginger (about 3 “golf balls,” sliced) 
- 2/3 cup Sugar 
- fresh lemon (to garnish) 
Directions
- Bring 6 cups water to a boil. 
- Add the ginger and 1/2 cup of the hot water to a food processor and run for 30 sec–until well chopped. 
- Add the rest of the water, ginger and chai to a pot. Cover and steep 8 min. (make sure all tea is wet) 
- Strain and stir in the sugar. 
- Bring to ½ gallon with ice. 
- Add carrot and lime juice. 
- Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon slice.
