A super healthy energy drink that’d make Bugs Bunny proud! Carrot juice, energizing yerba mate, fresh ginger, and lime juice combine to make a delicious and refreshing beverage that is simple to make. Keep it in the fridge for whenever you need a cup.

(Recipe makes about 3 quarts.)

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Chad’s Mate Chai (loose-leaf)

  • 40 oz Carrot Juice

  • 3 oz Lime Juice

  • 2 oz Fresh Ginger (about 3 “golf balls,” sliced)

  • ½ cup Sugar

  • Lime (to garnish)

Directions

  • Bring 4 cups water to a boil.

  • Add the yerba mate and ginger and steep covered for 8 min.

  • Strain and stir in the sugar.

  • Bring to ½ gallon with ice water.

  • Add carrot and lime juice.

  • Serve over ice.
